Abstract


This research was conducted to analyze the
implementation and supervision of Islamic education in
one of the conflict prone areas namely Central Lampung
of Lampung Province. This research is a qualitative
research with a descriptive approach. In this study, four
Madrasah Tsanawiyah in conflict-prone areas in Central
Lampung have been used as the research subjects and
informants. Samples were taken by purposive sampling
and data were analyzed with qualitative analysis. The
results of this study found out that there were no
significant differences from the process of education
implementation and supervision in conflict-prone areas
and low-conflict areas in Central Lampung. The thing
that distinguishes between the two is in terms of
managing extracurricular activities which in low-prone
areas tend to direct more extracurricular activities in the
cultivation of Islam, even making the general
extracurricular become Islamic nuances. In addition, in
the process of supervising Islamic religious education in
Madrasah Tsanawiyah, the role of school principals is
more dominant than school supervisors.
