Correction and Retraction

Al-Athfaal: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini is fully committed to maintaining the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record of our content for all end users. Changes to articles after online publication may only be made under the circumstances outlined below. Al-Athfaal: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini places a high value on the authority of published articles, and our policy is based on best practices in the academic publishing community.

An erratum is a statement issued by the authors of the original article briefly explaining any corrections resulting from errors or omissions. Any impact on the article’s conclusions must be noted. Corrected articles are not removed from the online journal, but a notice of erratum is provided. The erratum is freely available to all readers and linked to the corrected article.

A retraction is a notice that the article should no longer be considered part of the scientific literature. Retractions are issued if there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable; this may result from misconduct or unintentional error, if the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper referencing, permission, or justification, if the work is plagiarized, or if the work reports unethical research. To protect the integrity of the record, retracted articles are not removed from the online journal, but a retraction notice is provided, freely available to all readers, and linked to the retracted article. Retractions may be issued by the authors when they have discovered substantial scientific errors; in other cases, the editor or publisher may conclude that retraction is appropriate. In all cases, the retraction notice will indicate the reason for the action and who is responsible for the decision. If the retraction is made without unanimous agreement of the authors, this will also be noted. In rare and extreme cases involving legal violations, the publisher may edit or remove the article. Bibliographic information about the article will be retained to ensure the integrity of the scholarly record.

A publisher’s note informs readers that an article has been corrected after publication. This note is issued by the publisher and is used in cases where typographical or production errors (which are the publisher’s responsibility) affect the integrity of the article’s metadata (such as title, author list, or byline) or significantly impact the reader’s ability to understand the article. The original article is removed and replaced with the corrected version. The publisher’s note is freely available to all readers. Minor errors that do not affect the integrity of the metadata or the reader’s ability to understand the article, and that do not involve scientific error or omission, will be corrected at the publisher’s discretion.

In such cases, the original article is removed and replaced with the corrected version. The date of correction is recorded on the corrected article. Authors should also be aware that the original article may only be removed and replaced with a corrected version within one year of the original publication date. Corrections to articles published more than one year earlier will only be documented by a publisher’s note.
