Author Guidelines

  • Bina 'al-Ummah received conceptual articles and research results in da'wah and science related to development .
  • The article has never been published in other print media. Typed double-spaced on paper of quarto size with a maximum number of pages of 20 pages. Type of Times New Roman letter, size 12, and submitted as many as 2 copies and accompanied by data CD / data flash.
  • Editors will only accept articles that meet the following requirements: 1). There are abstracts in Indonesian and English consisting of 75 to 100 words, written 1 space. 2) Meet the following systematic requirements: (a) Title, (b) author's name (without an academic degree), (c) Keywords, (d) Introduction which contains: Describe the background of the problem, objectives and description of the benefits of the study (research) , (e) Methods, (f) Results, (g) discussion and analysis, (h) conclusions and suggestions, (i) Bibliography.
  • Articles that have pictures, diagrams, schemes / charts, tables must be grouped,
  • Manuscripts received by editors will be selected and editors have the right to edit the manuscripts to be published, by not changing the substance of the problem
  • The certainty of loading or rejection of the manuscript will be notified to the author. Articles that are not loaded must not be returned except at the author's request.
  • Submitting the manuscript to be accompanied by the author's personal data (author's biodata) written narrative.
  • The author's identity on the first page includes: name, institution of employment, and e-mail address.
  • Reference in writing uses "Footnotes" (footnotes) with the pattern of writing as the following example: Source of Book / Book: Abd. Rosyad Sholeh, Management of Islamic Da'wah, (Jakarta: Bulan Bintang, 1993), p. 29 Articles in the Book: Asnawi, "Islam and National Vision in NTB", in KOmaruddin Hidayat and Ahmad Gaus AF (ed), Becoming Indonesia: 13th Century of the Existence of Islam in the Archipelago (Bandung: Mizan, 2006), p. 34. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Copyright Notice

As a journal Author, you have rights for a large range of uses of your article, including use by your employing institute or company. These Author rights can be exercised without the need to obtain specific permission. 

Authors and readers can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as well as remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, but they must give appropriate credit (cite to the article or content), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to Bina' Al-Ummah as publisher of the journal.
